First Cohort of CyberInnovate has been Completed

CyberInnovate is proud to celebrate the completion of the first year if CyberInnovate for our first year cohort of twelve students, making a major milestone for the programme and for Ireland’s growing cybersecurity innovation ecosystem.

The inaugural group of students in the CyberInnovate Programme at Munster Technological University (MTU) has successfully completed an intensive ten-month journey designed to empower the next generation of cybersecurity entrepreneurs.

Throughout the programme, participants immersed themselves in a dynamic blend of learning, collaboration and hands-on innovation – identifying real-world cybersecurity challenges, developing viable solutions and building the entrepreneurial and leadership skills needed to transform ideas into thriving businesses.

They are now moving forward to further develop and commercialise their ventures, continue working with industry partners and contribute to strengthening Ireland’s position as a global hub for cybersecurity innovation.

“We are delighted to see all twelve of our first cohort of students complete the first year of CyberInnovate. The students took a huge leap of faith in making the decision to participate in a brand new programme and to say we are happy with the programme outcomes would be an understatement.

There are too many people to thank in making the first year a success but we must give a special mention to our immersive environment partners, Dell Technologies, DePuy Synthes, Eir Eco, eSentire, FEXCO, ICBF, JRI America, Mastercard, McKesson, the NMCI, Óglaigh na hÉireann and Tines. Without their ongoing support and access to their amazing staff members we would not have been able to run the programme.” Ronan Coleman, Programme Director.

The CyberInnovate team extends its heartfelt congratulations to the participants and sincere thanks to the mentors, guest speakers, partners and supporters who have contributed to this milestone year. We look forward to seeing the continued impact of our alumni as they continue to turn their ideas into successful cybersecurity ventures.

CyberInnovate is supported under Innovators’ Initiative Programme, and co-funded by the Government of Ireland and European Union through the Southern, Eastern & Midland Regional Programme 2021-2027.
